"I'm not in denial, I'm in open rebellion" damn that quote goes hard
“I am so bored by AI. One of the things I love about the theatre is AI can’t do it.”

Ethan Hawke is a dude 👌🏻

Stephen Miller is -- and I say this without exaggeration -- the most Duke graduate that has ever lived
Duke was a pretty good safety school.

There is absolutely no reason for a CV to be 32 pages long and include the names of your dead parents

Amazon is so fucking bad but I have to admit that making it possible to buy a car without ever talking to a car salesman was a really good thing

Weird that they added this detail to Home Alone 2 for the Bluray, it doesn't even make sense date-wise

Remember—Billionaire philanthropy is PR

$6.25B is a lot of money. It’s also only 4.1% of the $152B Michael Dell has hoarded. If Dell paid the 37% tax rate on the wealthy he'd pay $56.25B—and still have nearly $100B, more than he'd ever need

Taxation of billionaires > philanthropy from billionaires

Important to remember and acknowledge that we all have embarrassing shit in our past. I, for example, thought Dennis Miller was fucking hilarious until like 2004

My mom was watching The Final Sacrifice the other day, her favorite MST3K, and it suddenly dawned on me why Luigi's court outfit felt so familiar.

Like every time they talk about masks or show cops in masks and I realize the show happened before COVID and before the current masked ICE/CBP shit it takes my breath away a bit and depresses me how circular history is
I’m re-watching the WATCHMEN series and it’s wild how it holds up after 6 years. Lightning in a bottle, a perfect, self-contained work.

Revenge of the Sith trades places with Solo but otherwise goddamn… Pritzker nailed it
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

When my brother and I were diagnosed with ADD in the 90s it was absolutely revelatory for my mom. She still talks about core memories from childhood that would have been obvious signs if the diagnosis had been extant back then.
It's harder to freak me out about ADHD and autism as brand-new 21st century plagues when my siblings and I all had one or the other back in the 90s, and my parents are certain they did too and only weren't diagnosed because it was the 60s
I don't think I've ever disagreed and agreed more strongly with a piece, seesawing from one paragraph to the next.

Will come back to dissect.
