discovered some life-changing ttrpg tech during friday’s session: after taking a mid session break, before getting back into the scene, do a sports style locker room interview with each player (in character). it’s 1) funny 2) focusing 3) immediately and personally characterizing

The US campaign to starve Cuba of fuel should be understood as genocidal. They are targeting a whole nation, deliberately destroying conditions necessary for life, in flagrant violation of international law. Pure barbarism, there is no other way to describe it.

When it's not being used specifically for Zionist ends these accusations just act as a cudgel against the left broadly. We're 2+ years into a genocide and if you're a dog-chasing-squirrels over antisemitism charges on the left, I really doubt your commitment to justice and liberation

Last week the far right started peddling a narrative that the outrage over Epstein is a moral panic. Today, like clockwork, a more polite version of that narrative appears in the Atlantic.

I refused.

They didn't tell me the judge had already ordered my release and return to Minnesota.’

34,000 signing up for this work AFTER seeing their fellow citizens gunned down by federal thugs in cold blood? I'm chugging whatever the opposite of doomerism is
More than 34,000 Minnesotans signed up to be trained as ICED observers with various activist groups in recent weeks, many of them since Jan. 7, when a federal agent shot and killed Renée Good.
Thousands of new ICE watchers hit the streets after two killings
Minnesotans outraged by the killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti have signed up in large numbers to monitor and protest ICE with other activists.

not really joining in with the epstein news because i simply can't think about it. the totality of it, the abuse, its normalisation, the degree to which its perpetuators did not and will not see justice depresses me so existentially that i personally can't find any catharsis posting about it

Again, talking about ordinary government processes as if we're not living through a major political crisis creates the illusion of normalcy. It's counterproductive. We have a lawless, illegitimate president and we have to confront that fact, loud and often

One of the most horrifying bits of Christopher Browning's book "Ordinary Men," on a group of German Holocaust perpetrators, is the fact that absolutely nobody in the unit Browning researched was ever punished in any way for refusing to participate in massacres. These guys could just say no.
In an interview with @whitneycwimbish.bsky.social, Blas Nuñez-Neto wouldn't tell us his clients, but did say we should remember that ICE agents are people too. (Can't believe this quote below)

will is right, ICE and the entire trump administration is acting aggressive in hopes that it will silence opposition into submission and it’s important to not give them that. what’s happening in minneapolis will sadly come for us and we need to be ready
I’m physically following them around using my government name telling them to arrest me and they haven’t bothered to arrest me. Also half the US Attorney’s office here in MN just resigned! They do not have a case and they do not have manpower, but their only tool is trying to be menacing.
will not be surprised if the subpoenas are never issued

I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.
