It’s heartbreaking that the richest country in the world needs food banks to feed its people but it’s unbelievable that our billionaire politicians have forced our military to feed themselves and their families from food banks.

They're talking about killing leftist activists. They're talking about murdering people organizing in defense of immigrant communities, doing mutual aid work, and protesting their violence. They are talking about murdering people like me and my friends. We must do more than acknowledge it's fascism.

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.

Happy #BannedBooksWeek. If you love libraries and hate censorship, I'd encourage you to do more than just read a banned book this week. Here are a few ideas:
1. Get involved in your local public library board
2. Join or start a friends group
3. Organize a people's assembly for your public library

As the Moon eclipsed the Sun on 8 April 2024, birds took note.

Leveraging nature’s own experiment, scientists and the public joined forces to show how different species responded to sudden midafternoon darkness followed by a new “dawn.” Learn more this week in Science: https://scim.ag/48WbhLL

Finally got a view of the Red-breasted Nuthatch that’s taken up residence in the neighborhood. Welcome back little guy, I’ll have food up soon to keep you beeping and meeping through the winter.

"Cats in the Cradle" but it's from the vantage point of a young son who refuses to play catch with his dad, dad picks him up from school & son doesn't respond to friendly questions, son doesn't want dad to read to him, etc.

think it would be a cool song TO PLAY AT MY FUNERAL

One of the crazy things about the AI bubble bursting is that consumer sentiment toward AI has always leaned skeptical to outright negative but it’s an industry propped up by pure billionaire greed, sycophancy, and childish fantasy
