In a normal government, this results in the resignation of multiple cabinet officials (Transportation, Defense, and Homeland Security), and the closure or (at least!) radical reorg of the cartoonishly incompetent agency at the center of it: CBP.

Can we just give Republicans Utah? Like a reservation for angry, white, uneducated people? Give ‘em Salt Lake and BYU. Treat ‘em like they treat others. We’ll violently round them up, send them to Utah to be a “sovereign” nation and build a fucking wall around them so big they can’t see over it.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

I dunno what to say man Jeffries refusing to whip votes means that, despite how individual members voted, the Democrats as an institution endorse this. They think this is good. We gotta organize and take care of each other because no one in Washington is gonna help us.
