On #BBCQT - Fiona Bruce said that the audience and public didn't want to press Reform UK on their dodgy links to Russia.

I disagree.

RT if you agree it's in the public interest for Reform to explain about their links to Russian money and bribery!

Everyone in the UK that has had to use this service should be phoning up their MP office to demand an explanation why a law set out (OSA) did not have adequate protections of said data.

Phone calls
Emails
Actual visits to their office.

NEW: breach of Discord age verification data.

Including some users passports & DLs

Age verification is a badly implemented data grab wrapped in a moral panic.

Mark my words, as age verification mandates expand, we'll end up more surveilled and less secure. 1/

Unreal! My Avant West Coast train to Euston actually arrived on time this morning. Not vaguely on time, but *exactly*! I feel like I woke up in Switzerland or something...

I know people are quoting his tweets & people remember Pizza Gate, but I feel like the fact that he authored *this* absolute nightmare went under the radar. It praises Pinochet & Franco, declares a lot of America unhuman...

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

Sounds good?
Then pop along to City Tavern, 32 Frodsham Street, Chester.

Love this! Superb writing - and it struck me how much the aspirational emptiness of the series (which struck me as "a bit pessimistic" at the time) has turned out to be presciently on the money... 🎯

Does it say anything about A&E?

That's interesting! There were certainly rumours that all was not well. I did not know that the CQC had rated it as "good". That is a very different picture to the one portrayed in the Letby trial... 🤔

In 1945, the Allies faced a tricky question: where to hold Nazi war criminals until the trials.

A run-down hotel in Luxembourg was quickly converted to a prison ("Camp Ashcan"). The hope was to keep the nature of the prisoners secret.

In May 1945, this failed, and almost turned into a disaster. /1

Was she inadvertently trying to say that previously the (minority) right used to rule over the (majority) left, whereas now it's more of a level playing field and it's Just Not Fair any more! 🤪

Utility charges at UK rapid charging sites make it uneconomic to expand them - meaning that the only way to make them pay is if the chargers are fully utilised (i.e. queues). Cause is Ofgem's new pricing regime, which charges for capacity (rather than usage). Seems like a policy disconnect here #ev
Ian Johnston, CEO of charger operator Osprey, told Autocar that “we are nowhere near profitability” because of skyrocketing electric grid costs.
Dora Clarke, Osprey’s head of external affairs, said the standing charge paid by the company for a “typical” hub in the Midlands with eight chargers has increased over the past three years from £99 per year to more than £8600. Osprey operates 56 such hubs nationally.
