Never trust a Tory or a Neoliberal

What we know about the coalition:

They will carry out their policies and the coalition agreement.
Everything else they say is lies.

Easy way to analyse any of their comments, media releases etc
#NZpol

Yep, wouldn't trust any of their assurances *at all*.

This is the same lot that made *election* promises about Dunedin hospital... oh wait, until they broke them. That their tax cuts were 'definitely costed'... oh wait, until forced to admit they weren't.

On and on their gaslighting goes.
I keep thinking about how Peters said the hīkoi was a waste of time because the bill isn't going to pass. But (a) I don't trust any of these arseholes to do what they say they will, and (b) if there was no pushback I'm sure Luxon et al would happily vote it through into law. #ToituTeTiriti #NZpol
We need to spend time ensuring family, friends, and colleagues are all properly enrolled prior to the 6 to 8 week campaigning run. Don't forget fam overseas!
this date matters, ACT NAT NZF will attempt to disenfranchise anyone who legitimately casts a special vote

Diplomatic meetings while on holiday. Wonder if Winnie knew?
Great work mate

Look at this nugget from today's NZ Herald

"I had some contacts through an old think tank buddy who knew the person in the think tank over there that has been partial to part of [Milei’s] rise"
Why David Seymour’s summer break included a meeting with Argentina’s President and his gold-plated chainsaw
The Act leader was met with heavy scepticism when he turned up at the President's gates.

Sorry pretty boy but you must go either before the election or on the 8th.

Lots of posing and selfies but I am struggling to see if the country is going forward under your government.

Backwards on the track.

Remember the 38yo unexpectedly pregnant woman who had to deal with a terrorist massacre, a volcanic eruption and a global pandemic while raising a baby? Did anyone cut her one tenth of the slack this POS is getting?

I'm honestly so sick and heartbroken watching incredibly passionate, skilled, and qualified healthcare workers being so burnt by the funding cuts carried out by this government that they're leaving the healthcare system altogether. #nzpol

#nzpol Our Mood of the Workforce 2026 results are out. More than 3700 working people filled out the survey, and the message was clear: workers are struggling under the National-led Government. We need elected leaders that care about working New Zealanders, not just the wealthy and powerful.
Mood of the Workforce: ‘Virtually no praises for Luxon’s performance’
Move over boardroom executives, it’s time to hear what the blue collar workers think of the government, its leaders, and opposition MPs.

CEO of New Zealand's Free Speech Union, in an interview with far-right newsfluencer, laid out what their targets would be over '26 (an election year). Would be foolish for initiatives, individuals, institutions, & identities here to not plan for significant harms, haranguing, & harassment. #nzpol

So far, I've not seen articles on Greenland that ask why? Who benefits?
There's a geo-limited war already on Europe's east. Another front on the west in Greenland creates a pincer.
Who benefits from a weaker Europe spreading their defence spending across existing and 2nd front?
Ask these questions
"Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Tuesday called for Europe’s defence spending surge to be channelled into Greenland’s economy and infrastructure, while strengthening Arctic security amid mounting US pressure in the region." www.euractiv.com/news/von-der...

I think this needs repeating. We're only 6 years on and in 2020 it was, "there's no such thing as long covid."
There is no “normal” level of long C19.

The baseline is no C19, and no long C19.

I'm no prohibitionist, here, i just want people to be consistent.

ICE agents get a reward for everyone they detain, even if they get it wrong

Who pays for that reward?

The taxpayer.

Who pays to keep immigrants in detention unnecessarily?

The tax payer.

Yet they want you to believe they can’t afford to give you healthcare or food assistance
