There's a level of wealth above which you don't get happier, and there's a level of wealth above which you think physics no longer applies to you.
It is intensely funny to me that tech bro CEOs on an annual salary of 15 petabillion dollars think data centres can go in space because it's very cold but actually they would get obscenely hot because heat won't radiate into the vacuum of space

I am offended as a Christian not by the altered nativity but by its necessity. I am offended as a Christian by ICE and the cruelty of this regime. I struggle with guilt as a Christian for the ways we collectively have led to this time. But Christians are doing good, like these nativity scenes.

Another update: DHS has issued a pair of statements about Nativity scenes near Chicago and Boston.

The statements swap out the names of the faith leaders and the allegations levied, but otherwise appear the same.

Side note: Revs. Woolf (Baptist) and Josoma (Catholic) are both Christian clergy.

Honestly very difficult to figure out who is more corrupt between Trump and FIFA, it’s a real game respect game situation lol
We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).

Woke Bill Kristol continues to be wild
Democrats would be crazy not to make this comment super-famous tomorrow when the Senate debates health care. Republicans don’t want you to be cared for as a patient when you’re sick. They think of you as a “consumer”—and tough luck if you don’t have the money for the care you need.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."
