I like that the kunekune pig evolved through sailors seeding islands with pigs for later journeys.
You visit an island, drop off a few pigs. A decade later you get in a shipwreck, get stranded on that island, and you've got plenty of pig to live on.

The inspiration behind this is def from a study of Sagittarius B2, a giant molecular cloud composed of gas & dust towards the center of our galaxy. Astronomers searching for amino acids ended up detecting large amounts of ethyl formate. This compound smells like rum & gives raspberries their flavor!

Beginning to suspect my neighbor is a slug man. He's trying to hide it but the slime trails to and from his apartment, coupled with his insistence that he's allergic to my salted peanuts but fine with the unsalted ones and the 47 heads of lettuce I helped him carry into his apartment sure seem weird

Have you ever heard of an allonautilus? The fuzzy sea peach at the top of my oil painting is the extremely rare allonautlius. Its only been documented in the wild a couple of times.
