Once again my lukewarm take is that Contra Force is a fine game. Yes, it could have been better, and it was clearly released too early, but it's a challenging and fun late NES game. Contra series includes games that are significantly worse.
If you enjoy Contra Force, and always dreamed to be able to play it at full speed, your dream finally came true.

My dear friend Pinback got a little into Pac-Man the last month. Well, the madman created a free-to-download, arcade-accurate version of Pac that he calls "Booze Elroy," after the characteristic of Blinky pursuing Pac (named "Cruise Elroy" in this mode.) It's out today.
