It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

TBH, I think Rep. Crockett is giving Bondi too much benefit of the doubt. She's already proven herself to be the worst AG we've ever had.

UPDATE: The layoffs announcements at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution are trickling in. They include:

• Allie Gross, an investigative reporter, and
• Jozsef Papp, a crime and public safety reporter

So far, all of the (publicly) laid-off reporters are women and/or people of color.
BREAKING: @ajc.com on Tuesday evening said it will lay off approximately 50 staffers, about 15% of its headcount, as it seeks to cut costs and marshal resources to invest in its growth.

The AJC published its last print edition on 12/31. About half of those laid off will come from the newsroom.

It should not be a moral priority to appear “reasonable” in this morally insane moment.

Protecting the people and our neighbors and ourselves at all costs and in any way we can is the only moral imperative

Missed the target again completely Chuck.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

They're building concentration camps, Chuck.

Killing American citizens.

If ICE isn't following the standards that other agencies follow, then they're breaking the law, Chuck.

I don't want my tax dollars going to support any of this, Chuck. 4 out of 5 Democrats agree.

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

No one is safe. There are US citizens and permanent residents lying in filthy jail cells, partly because ICE agents are working against quotas and the system can't handle the volume of detainees. But mostly because the cruelty is the point. It's the only way Stephen Miller can feel.

“Collection of Handwritten Letters from Children in Detention Center” sounds like an exhibit in the Holocaust Museum.
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.
