The interview was an awkward affair, made more difficult by the time delay of the satellite link and not forgetting this is at the height of his cocaine addiction Bowie is Clearly not comfortable, looking bemuse

Honestly can't overstate how important this book is to me both as a research tool and as inspiration. It's exactly how you should approach such a huge subject - exhaustive, objective and rigorously factual with positive thoughts about even his least works.
