Very queer, unfortunately here, getting used to it. (he/him). Owns Majestic Mess Designs and makes art. Void screaming, media analysis, spoilers, GY!BE, Critical Role, queer media. Loves to draw brains symbolic of my chronic pain. #CriticalRole

Here's a little review of since features and cultural norms for newer users:

- There is no algorithm. Liking is nice but does little to boost visibility. If you like it, share it.

- Conversely, the only way for garbage to spread is by sharing it. Don't hate-share to dunk.
I am perpetually thinking about this speech. The capitalism line is the most quotable, but so many concepts around it are much stronger.
Good day to read and watch Ursula K. Le Guin’s brilliant acceptance speech for the National Book Foundation medal.

“We live in capitalism, its power seems inescapable — but then, so did the divine right of kings.”

media loves talking about the *possibility* of violence cuz it could be fucking anything — what if antifa blows up your dog!

they instinctively minimize the *reality* of violence — who's being targeted by the state's nazi thugs and how — because then someone might actually draw some conclusions

I’m so sorry but being a little contrarian edgekid (not OP) about No Kings doesn’t make you look cooler or like a more serious political actor. The frog suits are good. The grannies and “wine moms” are good. Looking cuddly and goofy is a legitimate protest tactic in the face of tyranny. Grow up.
I'm seeing a lot of criticism of the No Kings stuff. A lot of it is very valid I agree. But I also feel like there needs to be a nuanced understanding that these events are still a net positive I feel like. because it gets the liberal folks, the wine moms the grandmas the van dads out there.

They'll cast these rallies as "angry" but everyone there is plainly having a great time because it's fun to get together with like-minded people to engage in the oldest American tradition: telling a tyrant to eat shit

I saw a tragically AI-generated version of this poster, so I have recreated a 100% human-made version for all your protest sign needs.

A new problematic fave…he’s terribly wonderfully awful 💕 Sir Julien Davinos and his fabulous hair.

Back on my Critical Role hyperfixation with the new campaign. So many fun characters that I NEED to draw 😍

I literally just saw an elderly woman using a walker dressed head to toe as a frog.

Being in the post-"I don't know" age is gonna stink. It already stinks. "I'll look into this and get back to you" is now replaced with "Here's a slop answer I had a chatbot spit out and I didn't check"

Blech!

With libraries, proper search engines, encyclopedias and the like, if they didn't have the answer, you would get a blank in return. You knew they didn't have the answer.

Chatbots just make things up.

This isn't groundbreaking but "no entries found" being replaced with an invented answer is...

Easily at least 13,000 folks out here in Eugene No kings protesting today dwarfs the lines to a Ducks game by at least 9 times, by the density I can see
