I like the description followed by "they trafficked her," it illustrates the idea. I think the word conjures images of knocking someone out, dumping her in a van and driving her bound and gagged across state lines, when the reality is often more prosaic like described here.

This might be a real problem for Republicans moving forward because so much of their coalition has bought foremost into the spectacle of Trump as an ongoing drama and whoever replaces him, regardless of the direction they want to take the party, will likely have to find a way to keep that bit alive.
This isn’t the most important thing about MTG but it turns out she’s only charismatic when she’s conspiratorial.
Reasonable sounding MTG is not enjoyable to listen to and fairly mediocre (like DeSantis with more contrast) so I’m going to hold off on projecting how this tactic shakes out for her.
