This assumes, at some places, that this money would flow from donor’s pockets to these departments.

(It wouldn’t.)

Also, I would add that I can also think about how many academic and student support people that some of this money (if it comes from donors) that these buyouts would fund.

Yes. Because there is a significant part of him that DOESN’T get the assignment.

I don’t think it’s a purity test to say his views on trans individuals sucks. Sorry. I’m not willing to cast friends and family aside in that manner.

I’d rather go down fighting for their rights than sacrifice them.

I don’t love Gavin Newsom, but
I voted for him because I understood the assignment. I don’t have to get everything I want because I don’t hold politicians up to some impossible purity test. Governing kinda sucks. But am I wrong for finding myself swayed by him lately?
