Politics of a bleeding-heart liberal(I will not give up that term), wrestling takes of a decades-long smark, Magic takes of a filthy casual, and probably some other stuff. Background is Lucius Junius Brutus, who overthrew the last king of Rome.
I am SHOCKED that Republicans would immediately try and pack poison into this and use it to try and get even more from Dems.

@democrats.org gave the bullies their lunch money and now the bullies want more. Just like always.

Big strong brave masked ICE officers can’t handle a little cold weather so they’re gonna fuck off and go harass some southern states with Dem governors.

It’s not like he can put it in bags of cash and hide it in a cave. Some bank out there is enabling this and I want to know which one.

Does he think that individuals have the ability to negotiate with insurance companies?
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Nobody really uses $1 coins if they can avoid it.

The only thing they really get used for is coin flips.

So yeah, of course Trump wants a two-headed coin. Technically it would have a value but it’d be functionally useless.
November 11, 2025 at 12:52 AM
It’s important to understand that this increase is a choice that is being made by people who have never and will never have to pay for their own health insurance in any meaningful way.
My ACA current plan is going from $385/mo to $821/mo.

Either you’re complicit in those “yes” votes (likely, Durbin does nothing without your nod) or you’ve lost control of your caucus.

Either way it means you don’t deserve to be considered a leader. You cannot lead.

Resign. It is the only option.
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Sen. Kaine on his vote for funding deal

“I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct. 1, because I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed federal worker would say to me at church”
November 10, 2025 at 10:12 PM
At this point I’m pretty sure no Democrat, @durbin.senate.gov especially included, understands how politics work.

They definitely don’t understand how the American people work.

All they understand is who’s pushing green paper into their pockets.
Durbin said critics of his vote “need to understand how the Senate works”
November 10, 2025 at 1:16 PM
Took him way longer to do this than I expected.

I guess they wanted to wait until they knew that Dems like @kaine.senate.gov and @durbin.senate.gov were 100% their bitches before fully admitting to what they did in 2020z
BREAKING

President Trump has granted a pardon to a slew of Trump world figures, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell, for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The problem is that we all assumed there would be an opposition party.

But we no longer have a two-party system. We have one party and a faction of that party that occasionally disagrees with their dear leader.
I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage
November 10, 2025 at 5:02 AM
I just can’t get over how fucking stupid the @democrats.org are, and @schumer.senate.gov specifically. They had the entire country on their side. Schumer releasing his “compromise” Saturday had the potential to actually be a sly move which would force this issue onto the ballot next year.
My statement on the funding deal to reopen government, protect federal employees, and vote to protect health care:

The cheapest plan available to me (a Georgian) is over $1,000 a month. Healthcare is no longer an option for me. I will ration the medication I take for as long as I can and then I will wait to die.
So every freelancer you know is going to lose their insurance or be bankrupted by premiums because Schumer is an invertebrate
November 10, 2025 at 3:52 AM
@schumer.senate.gov needs to resign tomorrow.

Either this happened with his blessing despite him offering a compromise yesterday. Or this happened without him, showing that he has no control.

He has been a complete and utter failure as Minority Leader.
November 10, 2025 at 12:58 AM
By getting absolutely nothing but a promise of “a vote” sometime in December the Democratic Party has allowed the GOP to say that the Dems shut down the government for nothing.

Because that’s what happened.

The Dems have squandered every moment of leverage they’ve had this year.

I’m done.
Whatever else is in the deal, agreeing to merely have a vote on ACA is a fig leaf. Even if it passes the Senate, it won't in the House, which also makes it an easy yes vote for the Senate Rs who might want to, defusing it as an attack on them.

It is a stupid ask even on Team Schumer's own terms.

Yeah, despite the rumblings from other reporters this still feels like another bit of Axios wishcasting.

What's for certain is that any Democrat who votes to cave now and betray the base in exchange for nothing at all will live to regret it.
does this sound like a deal that’s done or someone trying to pressure dems into one

It can be correct and still not better.

All she did was stave off the inevitable hard ruling while not getting anyone the money they need for food. It’s legal cya nonsense that doesn’t actually do anything but delay the inevitable outrage.
KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.

Justice Jackson is prioritizing usda employees and political agendas over starving children.

Children have been getting at least one meal a day this week because of school lunches and the requirement in most areas that the kid be fed regardless.

Now it’s the weekend.
