Politics, campaigns, psychology, sportsball, root beer floats. The Great State of Minnesota. The Lynx were robbed. I'll try and do less stream of consciousness here, but no promises.
Do we have an outside shot at too cold for ICE vehicles to start temps this weekend even?!?! Let’s goooo

The test mainly included questions about "physical safety... privacy concerns and inappropriate topics like sexual actions."

But given what we know about algorithmic bias, I'm curious to know whether these toys perpetuate racist, sexist, and anti-LGBTQ+ stereotypes, too.
New! We worked with the Public Interest Research Group to test a bunch of LLM-driven toys ahead of the Christmas. That sexual talking teddy bear wasn't a one-off; it turns out disturbing behavior is deeply built into these toys across the board.
AI toys for kids talk about sex and issue Chinese Communist Party talking points, tests show
New research from Public Interest Research Group and tests conducted by NBC News found that a wide range of AI toys have loose guardrails.

There's gotta be a word for a stong condemnation of people who engage in gutter racism and fly off the handle making threats because of a flag... hmmm what could it be? Might be too dangerous to use it though, the people doing this deplorable... oh wait there it is

There is no genuine scholarly or historical debate about the birthright citizenship clause. What there is is disingenuous or outright fabricated bullshit by opportunists willing to aid a racist project for the sake of professional expedience.
Giving the game away. he has more “scholarly ammunition” than he did in January because a bunch of professional bootlicks and liars who have never had real jobs started lying about birthright citizenship in January.

This was not the lede, but instead paragraph six, with the bulk of the article dedicated to weighing the pros and cons of regulation policy. NOT THE FACT THAT THE PRESIDENT IS NOT ALLOWED TO ERASE STATE LAW BY FIAT.

More consequential than the two house seats, frankly, are the signals that this sends

1) Indiana GOP thinks they are better off not spreading their numbers thinner, even though these were *all* double digit Trump 2024 seats
2) They're no longer afraid to tell Trump to shove it
BREAKING: Indiana Republicans FAILED to pass a new 9-0 congressional gerrymander after enough GOP senators sided with Dems. The GOP's 7-2 map stays in place.

Trump is trying to re-gerrymander maps nationwide. At least 11 Indiana Rs got death threats after he called for primaries—but it still failed

you know you could just link to Minneapolis reporting on what is happening with ICE in Minneapolis rather than linking to spammy clout-chasing accounts that just post screenshots and pullquotes instead, right?

🧵 Peter’s daughter‘s bus was delayed for a fucking ICE TV show.
My daughter’s school bus was delayed this morning because armed ICE agents, some masked, were in the middle of 15th Ave in Cedar Riverside. So why wouldn’t ICE just get out of the way when the bus came? Perhaps they were busy harassing Somali-Americans, who are overwhelmingly citizens. But... (1/4)

Iowa hasn’t put nearly enough stress on Crooks when they have the ball. They put her in the screen and roll a couple of times but have mostly let her sit in the lane guarding someone who can’t shoot.

People keep wondering why they're going after Venezuela. It's because they want to do regime change and control its oil, then use a big tract of land there to keep a tax free "network state" that looks like Dubai but operates like Rhodesia. They are saying this out loud! Believe them!

I think it's very annoying that by "tech" (see: techno-optimism) people only refer to the most recent, most hyped investment tool. So that if you don't buy the hype of the most recent bullshit, you're anti-tech. I'm not anti-food if I don't buy White Castle's new sliders, bro.
