Just about all the covers I've made so far are quite faithful to the original until now, I am making some significant changes to a song known and loved by mostly goth people. As a former goth person I feel I am qualified to do this.

There's been an especially infectious chorus playing in my head for weeks. Finally got it arranged & recorded, but it took 8 or 9 hours since last night to get it just so. my ears are, cooked, so it's moved from the Song-A-Day queue to the Pile Of WIPs that will become an EP before long.

Drawing of 4 cartoon style monster heads. The first is a teal guy with many small sharp teeth and 5 eyeballs across the top of his head, each with a black U-shaped eyebrow hovering above. The second is bird-like with yellow feathers, a blue beak, square teeth, gills, and a curly green horn growing out of its head. The long feathers on the back of its head are dripping with black liquid. The third is a green cyclops with a goatlike pupil in it's eye, a big mouth with a disgusted expression, a rectangular black eyebrow, and two stalks on its head, each covered with a tiny sock. The fourth is a sad purple guy with 6 ears 2 noses and 3 eyes. Two eyes are large and stacked vertically, the third is down by the chin and is crying one big tear. His head is shaped like a long sideways lemon with a tuft of black hair.

Spent a few hours playing guitar and keyboard today. My music time has become real QWERTYfied over the past year, doing all my composing inside the DAW and not playing IRL instruments as much (I do gig around on bass but yeah). Nice to get tactile with it again even if I am shaking some rust off.
