As the article notes, UD removed my students' research from public access on the internet in July 2025.

However, you can see a pre-deletion version of their work on the Wayback Machine: web.archive.org/web/20250612...

(Of course, any further work on these projects within UD has stopped.)

The journalist, Kelly Powers, did a very thorough job reporting this out.

Here's the opening of the feature, which spotlights the amazing work a UD PhD student did in recovering the deep history of a neighborhood adjacent to campus, that once was an Af-Am community, but now is student housing:

UD removes student research on slavery, Newark history amid federal pressure
Over the past year, UD has reacted to pressure under a second Trump administration, while tuning a “long-term strategy” on campus inclusion.

I've seen some crazy-amazing shit in Maui but this may be the amazingest! Apparently, it's a Miniature Melo. A marine bubble snail that seems impossibly cool. And it was tiny. TINY!

“It’s just weird to see a toddler in a pink onesie getting their eyes washed out from tear gas, you know?”
New — I spoke to eight people who were present at the ICE protest on Saturday in Portland, Oregon when federal agents deployed tear gas and rubber bullets into a crowd of families, children, elderly and disabled people, and their pets.

These are their stories:

I gave Tomb Raider a shot; I wanted to like it, but I'm having trouble getting behind Lara. In the first 5 minutes, she basically kills 4 people who are trying to stop her from stealing from another country (I'm pretty sure she didn't have any permits), and now we have Aztec magic or something.

this particular line is maybe the best statement of purpose i have seen for those of us who want a more militant opposition to this administration
“Let us be clear: we want the power of the state. We wish to hold the criminals of the regime accountable. We wish to seize back the public funds looted by Trump and his cronies. We wish to undo the damage he has done to the government. More than any of that we wish to rebuild.”
From Powerlessness to Power
We will not achieve any of our ultimate goals without exercising state power, and the most effective way to take state power is through nonviolent but confrontational resistance.

The impact of right wing conspiracism around "elite pedophiles" is the same as their pretending to be against the mainstream media, it's conveniently just close enough to a real thing to make people trying to navigate the real problem sound unhinged. Curious, that.
