There is no reason to follow me. Seriously, think about the children.

I really haven't been persuasive about this. You shouldn't follow me. It can't go well for you.

Reminder that Starbucks workers across the United States are on strike! Please find coffee elsewhere until Starbucks finalizes a contract with striking workers. #NoContractNoCoffee
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

One thing giving me a grim chuckle these days is that after years of "LEARN TO CODE" snark from smug SWEs who hate reading, wordcels can now create software without ever touching a command line, while software engineers are the ones perhaps most in need of an alternate career path.

It is come to my attention that I am merely a complex virus inside a biologic which THINKS it's in a brain jar. Inside another virus, injected into a brain which thinks it is in yet another brain jar.

This is an automated message. You are a robot. We are all living in brain-jars in the filthy basement of a defunct scientific facility.

Been reading this over and over and can't for the life of me understand what he's even trying to say. This is a lot of words to say... nothing.

I’m saddened by the passing of civil rights pioneer, Claudette Colvin, but forever inspired by her legacy.

By sitting down on a Montgomery bus, she stood up for justice, helped spark the civil rights movement, and inspired millions to follow in her footsteps.
Claudette Colvin, unsung civil rights pioneer, dies at 86
Nine months before Rosa Parks made history, Ms. Colvin refused to give up her seat on a segregated city bus. She became a star witness in a civil rights case.

Is there a statute of limitations on blowing up the moon? I mean, it was an accident, right? But I'd think a few weeks later nobody would be so mad. I mean, I'm the victim here. Do you have to go through your day knowing you blew up the moon? I feel the media should respect my privacy at this time.

It's 233.15 degrees Kelvin outside this spaceship on the leeward side of the sun. That means it's -40 out for us humans. That's -40 in Celsius and Kelvin. I like it inside the spaceship better. These void suits don't like the cold that well. They get very stiff. Inside the boat is much better.

But then again, a movie as radical as The Matrix gets wildly misappropriated by the right, reading it as the inverse of what the “red pill/blue pill” represents so, well, there’s that.

I didn’t really dig Starship Troopers because I thought it was way too on-the-nose and was too heavy-handed in its whole parody of how fascist the original novel is.
But it turns out that it STILL went right over the heads of, you know, actual fascists.

This is always framed as though it's inherently bad to have aging and shrinking populations -- without ever explaining why. I do remember when the media complained about increasing population.
Economically, is an aging population better or worse than a baby boom? Babies aren't very productive.

It would be a mistake to see Trumpism as authoritarianism imposed on an unwilling nation, as opposed to authoritarianism implemented in a nation with a plurality that is already made up of authoritarian bootlickers who created the context for Trumpism to thrive.
