Gonna celebrate a few here (feel free to add to the list of you know of more):

Rubio's words about our common civilization are not nice. They are white-nationalist talking points.
Rubio just made a speech to the European defense community in Munich that did not mention Ukraine. Or democracy. Or US business deals with Russia. Or the administration's plans to support the European far right. But there were lots of nice words about our common civilization.

I recommend reading about how the concentration camp was used by the British in the Second Boer War and you'll see why it is impossible not to use the term about what is happening here if you are being accurate and honest
On the heels of this post last night, I wrote about using the term "concentration camp" and why it matters.

It's no use pretending Russia can be appeased. No surrender can be forced upon Ukraine that will stop Russia waging war against the West.

There's no point acting as if the United States is still among the Allies. No pandering to Trump will stop him being Putin's puppet.

Remigration by stealth? The government’s settlement proposals will mean 10 or 15 years extra to settle - but are they designed to make people leave? The reforms combine with other policy changes to mean many people here would have no route to stay in/beyond 2030

Why are they allowed to get away with the ‘uncontrolled’ rhetoric? It’s a straightforward lie, a hideous dog-whistle.
Home Sec: "It is about managing what has been an uncontrolled wave of migration into the country. We have to consider the impact of no changes—if all these people were able to obtain settlement at five years, which is what the current rules would allow"

vividly remember, in the Corbyn Hell Years, seeing people on Twitter quite actively bonding over their joint hatred of me - trying to outdo each other in their meanness - and I just don't think it's possible to explain how weird and unpleasant it is, especially as someone who's....no-one
People don’t really understand the nature of the problem. It’s not lots of little random ankle-biter tweets. That’s annoying but whatever. It’s when hating you becomes this communal pursuit that exists separately from yourself. Like there’s an entire group of people working together to target you.
ignore it. why do you big accounts always complain? it’s like a celebrity complaining they get too much attention in the street. it comes with the territory. just ignore or mute those accounts. it seems you might have a kind of para social relationship back.

Yup.

Prediction markets are interesting only to the extent that they are increasingly:

a) Reported on in the same breath as actual news coverage which shapes public perception;

b) Creating perverse incentives for insiders and decision makers;

c) Gamifying really serious/sensitive issues.
