America remains a slave nation as the carceral system tortures black men across the nation and exploits them for profit and cheap labor.

They are political prisoners, suffering unduly under the largest prison state in human history. They must be freed.

I mean we barely learn about the pacific theater of world war II and we don't really learn about Japanese Imperialism. We just learn that they bombed Pearl Harbor and they were aligned with Nazi Germany and that's why we had to fight them. because digging into it reveals American Imperialism

AI is a climate issue. AI is a climate crisis.
A few important points here

- Generative AI supercharged data centre growth: lobbyist and substacker lines pretending like this is just streaming are false

- Even when you consider much of the projected growth is speculative, the *likely* projects are still MASSIVE

The death of Lia Smith shook many in the trans community to their cores, while online it seemed like the top priority of non-trans people was to insist there's no proof that the 21-year-old's ban from her beloved swim team caused her suicide.

Re-sharing as it was one of our top stories this year.

Making capitalists “pay their fair share into society” means all of it. They do not produce. They own. Their fair share is nothing. Labor is entitled to all it creates. It’s important we understand this.

don’t understand the optics argument from anarchists. it’s very American. “People think communism is scary so instead we should abandon making society better and just fuck off to our own insular communities. everyone who isn’t my cousin/girlfriend should die” is also bad optics.

As folks have noted in the replies, the student's mother is something of a MAGA public figure (and lawyer).

This is obviously a purposeful stunt to attack a trans graduate student, which is sick af and must be opposed on the grounds.

It is simultaneously an assault on university pedagogy.
