What Patinkin says about NYC teaching the world brings to mind my favorite Obama speech. Because if you can change a city, you can change a state, and if you can change a state. Then we CAN change the whole country and we fucking need to.
It was such a joy to celebrate Hanukkah with Mandy, Kathryn and their son, Gideon. As Jewish New Yorkers across our city prepare to light candles and mark the seventh night today, I wish you and your families a Hanukkah full of light and love.

The human cost of Trump's gutting of USAID: By the time Tor Top’s mother was sick with cholera, the nearby clinic had been shuttered for weeks. He bundled her into a canoe & paddled toward the nearest hospital, 8 hours away. Less than halfway into the journey, his mother died.

Today, I spoke with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his wife, Jennifer. In April, when I met with him in El Salvador, Trump said he would never set foot in the U.S. again.

This case has never been about one man alone; if the govt can violate the constitutional rights of one, all our rights are threatened.

I used to vacation here every summer when I was a kid. Miss the days of whipping down the beach trails around here on my shitty old beach cruiser.

There are no words to describe the horror I feel watching this story unfold. My heart is shattered and the fact our country has forsaken any commitment to the victims of genocide leaves me with nothing but dread about what happens next.

I just can't get over how this whole thing lays bare the thin line between branding and lying. You can say you invented "hot ice cream" all you want but if you spend all your time insisting it's not hot chocolate, and it tastes exactly like hot chocolate, you did not in fact invent something!

The RSF just attacked a kindergarten, killing at least 33 children in Sudan.

Meanwhile, the Trump Admin. continues to sell arms to the UAE, who are aiding these atrocities.

Imagine if Trump spent as much time trying to stop the killing, as he did getting the UAE to invest in his crypto coin.

Why did no one tell me that buttering your pancake pan is actually counter productive to getting the perfect surface.

Literally spent 5 years cooking brunch in kitchens and we always put fresh butter down for pancakes. But I’ve never made better pancakes than I do now
