Part adjunct, part self-employed, entirely neurodivergent. She/her in STEM, i.e., had pronouns before people got offended by them. Can't believe it's controversial to not want SARS. Also plays with string 🧶

Hey new followers, I recognize a few of you from Bird Hell Site (detector webapp came online or got noticed?) so I assume y'all know this, but so the rest of you know what's in the tin:

* quite autistic
* numbers are fun
* yarn yarn yarn
* cute lizard is cute
* fuck Nazi bullshit
FYI: @gusonlygus.bsky.social is a scammer claiming to be Bluesky admin in DMs to get you to click links. IDK what the links go to, but like, with that fact pattern, nothing good. Recommend blocking on sight or preemptively.

while contemplating his bad life choices downstairs, my aunt's dog had made another bad choice and managed to dig out the creepy santa mask and get it stuck on his face. the black dog coming up the unlit stairs was basically invisible, so all we could see was that mask moving through the air.

Just said "OK guys, I gotta get up" to my lap full of cats, and Thunder meowed back and got up.

Cats are definitely smarter than people mostly think and I have got to get my bunch some speech buttons.

People are so confident in our civilization's infrastructure right now that I just saw an ad for a truck doubling as a generator followed by an ad for a 36 hour fridge power bank, watching a show on my *husband's* account (I'm a "nice prepper" but he's much more normie).

I'm hyperlexic and have been too broke to buy books. You can find stuff that's available without paying by the author's choice (library, AOOO, FFN, Kindle freebies, ARC sites like Hidden Gems, etc.). No one *needs* to pirate entertainment.
And it actually feels like a terrible betrayal to know others are struggling and to take from them anyway. No one (well, maybe someone, but certainly not me and certainly not Krista) is saying poor people "don't deserve art"--what everyone is saying is that there is an ABUNDANCE of art out there.

Festive beverage cheat code:
* cranberry juice in ice cube tray the night before
* a couple of pour over options -- ginger ale, seltzer, Sprite, etc.
* people can take the amount of cranberry they like
* people can add a shot or not

Did you hear that the magnesium supplements that help with things like unclenching your calves work better when you take them than when you leave the bottle on your craft room cutting table?

Bc IDK, sounds fake, having them in the house should be good enough.

Canada has already lost its measles elimination status.

The US is on track to lose its status in January.

Just like with COVID, it’s the kids who are going to pay the biggest price.

They have no agency. They can’t decide to get vaccinated, their parents must do the right thing.

I stand by most of my criticisms of Pilgrim's Progress, but I owe the author an apology for what I said about the main character making every clearly labeled bad choice for no apparent reason.
Intuit is integrating ChatGPT into their TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, & Mailchimp services, & vice versa. Which is to say, I think a SHIT TON of people are about to get audited.

They also claiming no bleedover btwn your financial data & ChatGPT, which… okayy… 😬

Want to stick it to the corporations?

Wear a mask.

Americans are dying younger and saving the ruling class billions of dollars.

You can help prevent that by masking up and refusing to normalize the spread of covid & other airborne diseases.

authors you have the chance to do the funniest thing right now
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action

All these attempts to frame it as “oooh, scary foreigners are bringing foreign diseases!” No, you miserable little bookend, pushing the screwworms south was an incredible feat of international cooperation, and the minute it broke up, the screwworms were always coming home again.

I do not care what any consenting adult of any gender configuration does sexually with other consenting adults, and also my God, could you sweaty freaks who tragically currently run the world be a little a more goddamned discreet about it?

Just spent executive function to drag myself to the gym for DIY-PT in the pool for the second day in a row bc it'd been too long and maybe other contributing factors, and in short stuff had gotten *bad*

TFW you realize you *have to* get into and through law school bc you already lost the ability to watch the investigational TV show genre without yelling at it, annoying your partner, so it'd better be for something
