🚨BREAKING: A federal judge in Oregon said Attorney General Pam Bondi’s recent letter to Minnesota reinforced unease about how the Justice Department is wielding its authority in its nationwide push for state voter rolls, suggesting the administration’s campaign may be driven by improper motives.

Cannot repeat the Obama-era dodge of saying "we tortured some folks" and not holding accountable the torturers and especially the chain of command. You want to stop state-sanctioned crimes? Trials not words are the only way.
Bovino’s retirement needs to be a cage. His command environment yielded Renee Good’s death, Alex Pretti’s death & Julio Sosa-Celis’ shooting. Failure to prosecute Bovino & everyone else materially responsible for these atrocities will be understood by ICE, CBP, etc as a green light for the next ones

Liam himself is five goddamned years old and should be at home with an adult he trusts right now no matter who his parents are. It would not matter if they were literal criminal masterminds, Liam Ramos is a baby and babies do not belong in prison.
Reminder that, as of the latest reports, Liam Ramos is still in prison in Texas - now for 5 days.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

Hey, this Bovino thing is a pathetic attempt to make all these horrors the fault of one guy, and it would be a serious, serious crisis if people fell for it. ICE needs to be abolished, bc this - terror, murder - are what it exists for. Nothing else. This is just an attempt to mollify us. Stay angry

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

It is nearing noon in Minnesota on a Monday.

Did you have breakfast? Have you had lunch or are you about to have lunch? Just be sure you're eating something every so often.

Also drink plenty of water.

Take your meds if you have meds.

Do the things you've got to do to take care of you. ❤️

I think there’s a difference worth pointing out between a person you know changing their mind (welcome) & a pundit feeling the wind shift on their spit-slicked finger as they declare it’s now correct to call something fascist (fuck off into the sun).

If you are faced with someone who still insists that ICE is detaining only violent criminals, here is a thread of receipts.
Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process.

This is one that stands out:

Honestly, shame to anyone who ever supported him. There was never doubt about who he is. He started harassing the press and suggesting people at rallies "knock the crap out of" hecklers early in his 2016 campaign. Everyone saw the Access Hollywood video. There is no excuse for ever supporting him.
