Concentration camps. You're building concentration camps, America.

When I got the contract to write a history of concentration camps in 2014, I hoped to keep the US from ending up here. That didn't work out! But now it's critical to understand how much is already in process and the enormity of what's coming. The sooner we act to stop it, the more people we'll save.

The risks of SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne pathogens can be severe, but the media continues to stigmatize Olympians taking precautions as "worried" and "extreme". We know #LongCOVID can affect anyone, even elite athletes.

I find myself nodding in agreement. Not everyone is left standing the war has ended & also the notion that some of those left standing have been irrevocably changed by their experience

But there is hope for a better future and an urgency to fight for what we might never see

This is so fucked up.
The new voter suppression bill—called the "Save America Act"—would require 21 million American citizens to produce passports or birth certificates to register to vote.

Most don't have these documents. This is a poll tax by another name.

I would not mind debt if it meant everyone gets healthcare and housing and education.

It’s the killing and kidnapping and torture I object to.

My long thread from earlier in the week. Covid is not over!
Not a single thing we were told about #COVID turned out to be correct. A long thread 🧵

All I can think of is an abuser putting their exes dog's pic into the system as lost and suddenly having access to tons of footage of what that person is up to and how to find them. If there weren't already a million reasons to get rid of your Ring camera
The showed us cute missing dogs & we consented to turning our doorbell cameras into a mass human tracking system.

Mark my words, Ring's Search Party will become the next Flock.

Only instead of just being sketchy cameras installed in parking lots, it will be everywhere. That's their play.

In 1967, the NRA supported the Mulford Act, a California bill restricting open carry. On its face, this might seem anomalous given the NRA’s current rabid support for gun rights. However, the specific goal was to disarm the Black Panther Party. /1

Ohio Gov Mike DeWine said it will be “the next Minneapolis” as 15,000 Haitians (1/4th of the entire city) will have their TPS status prematurely revoked Weds Feb 4th.
