Is the takeaway that this should be a paid position? The RS is given hundreds of millions in tax payers money each year to distribute on our behalf. Is it unreasonable to expect the top role to be a paid position so it can be filled by the best possible candidate rather than the only one available?

Folks getting in the weeds about licensing agreements but this research study engaged me in research, by creating a bespoke dataset about me, before I agreed to participate. They already made the dataset before I was invited to participated. That's not how informed consent works

Folks getting in the weeds about licensing agreements but this research study engaged me in research, by creating a bespoke dataset about me, before I agreed to participate. They already made the dataset before I was invited to participated. That's not how informed consent works

Does anyone have any institutional policies around AI 'assistants' joining events/meetings, especially when added by externals (IE people I can't tell off for using non-approved tools)? Failing that, any personal techniques or rules of thumb?
