Going through the Simpsons and I've hit season 9 and there is a marked decline in Homer's intelligence. I didn't mind when he would do something incredibly stupid every now and again for the gag, in season 9 they make it a point to just make him unbelievably dumb consistently.

As a person capable of rational thought too think a healthy fear of germs and respect for scientists is a good thing
As the author of a book about the science of 💩, I’d just like to say that snorting cocaine off 🚽 seats is a great way to get a preventable disease 🦠 (not to mention the danger of addiction & overdose).
