Double apple: yesterday's night apple, Winecrisp, I think, WineCrisp™, obtained in Phila. Mostly: cardboard. Today: Peck's Pleasant! Pretty apple, mild sweet flavor, a delight. Billed as "clean and fresh with green tea and lemon flavors," sure, why not.

One hundred percent agree. If you are an author, don’t do anything about the piracy of your work. Don’t even think about it. It’s a complete waste of time and energy.
Calling authors petit bourgeoisie is indeed insane. We are artisans and we deserve to profit from our labor.
That said, digital piracy has never been shown to represent actual lost sales, and may in fact DRIVE sales. I think authors should cool out about it.

On reflection the betrayal is, above all, embarrassing for my betrayers, who thought they were helping. This all calls to mind the infamous Ecce Homo botched paint job. In this scenario I am the beautiful image of Christ that does not need fixing

I have thought about this a lot and in addition to Bakoon's Tips, like with other info lit it helps to read all kinds of writing by "people," genius and dumbass alike. Seems obvious to me that reading a lot helps you be a person but better posters than me have died on that hill

people keep looking for silver grammar bullets for detecting ai writing, but there's not really a single one that doesn't get get you a ton of false positives. "x, not y" is probably the closest you can get.
