We should put together a list of books you can buy this Christmas from authors who were robbed and had their careers sabotaged* by Unbound.
(*What makes me forever angry is that it's about so much more than money. You'd think people who read would be better at empathy and understanding.)

I'm finding #ArtAdventCalendar really uplifting in these dark times.

I also love this ⬇️ about it because I always totally fail at those *post every day* type online things.
If you are thinking about joining #ArtAdventCalendar but are thinking you missed a day or you won't be able to post every day, remember you get to be like Gandalf and arrive (or leave) precisely when you mean to...
a wizard is never late nor is he early he arrives precisely when he means to ..
Alt: man with a long beard and a big wizard's hat saying a wizard is never late nor is he early he arrives precisely when he means to ..

Day 5 #art for #ArtAdventCalendar is one of my rainbow wings series. I have recently ordered prints of some of these to see how they look! I’m excited for them to arrive.

This is a digitally painted European Peacock #butterfly, I like the traditional paint feel I managed.

These take ages to make but I love making them.

Inspired by my local landscape this is the ancient chalk Uffington White Horse.

This pot pulled itself apart in the kiln so I did some kintsugi to put it together and, somehow, it just adds to it.

Zero tolerance for doomerism. Stop lazily accepting that everything is screwed forever. Stop normalising low expectations. That’s part of the problem & it’s what the bastards want. It’s also a product of privilege. People in more desperate situations don’t have the option to just sit back & shrug.

ALL OF THIS:
My Spotify wrapped summary is that my band took all our music off Spotify because the company’s CEO invests the billions which he doesn’t pay artists on AI drone weapons tech.

Ditch Spotify. Pay artists. Redistribute wealth. Stop war. Happy Christmas!

I did an archaeology degree and stuff I've had on my head since then keeps creeping into my pots!

Labyrinth and spiral design, inspired by European prehistoric rock carvings. A wax relief design on crank (textured) clay with a turquoise glaze.

Foundation paper piecing. Made for my dad’s wife soon after he had passed this Spring. I combined elements of two patterns and made the cat to look like her beloved cat, ItsyBitsy whom has since passed as well. ❤️

If you take photos, make pottery, textile art or other crafts, do paintings, sketches, collages or anything...whether you sell or just do it for fun...I would encourage you to participate in #ArtAdventCalendar You will enjoy looking back on your own work and find lovely things made by others.
Ending day 3 of #artAdventCalendar with 472 participants. A fair bit slower than last year where we had 625 on day 1 (!!)

but still good numbers and most importantly...great posts.

Be sure to let your artist friends on here know what a cool thing this is.
