Hope y’all enjoy your turkey- we don’t tend to do a traditional menu at our house since Events sort of ruined the menu for me.

This year is going to be filet mignon, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, homemade rolls, sweet potato soufflé so the boys don’t riot, and a bourbon pumpkin cheesecake.

Patient came in with sore throat. While waiting for rapid Strep test result we glanced back at the Covid-19 RAT result: positive. Reminder that masking in health care makes sense, if you don’t want everyone in your waiting room to go home sick, your staff to get sick, and physicians to get sick.

Amazing.
If it helps you feel better, Amy, I once gave a friend shower melts and she thought they were bath bombs and added them to a bath instead of the floor of the shower.
I guess mint and eucalyptus in those concentrations, um… stings. Real bad.
I gave my mom what I thought was a soup-themed bath bomb some years back, but it was actually soup. She had to call my dad in to get her out of the greasy tub.

A good article if you’re interested in learning about leaving the leaves. It’s possible to compromise and still have a fairly tidy yard while helping nature, you can simply move the leaves to designated areas and wait til late spring to trim dead plants!

It occurs to me that one reason artists summarily reject AI (and there are MANY reasons) is because artists are, by nature, people who move through the world at a different pace. We take time to notice light, colors bouncing off a flower petal, how someone moves, the angle of an eyebrow.

Still don’t have a voice today. Managing to stay mostly clear, at least. Still negative for Covid. The general nameless Crud viruses have been awfully top shelf this year.

Gonna say it again. If you are someone who is lonely and has no one to talk to, for the love, DM me, a real human who will listen before you message an AI bot.
I'm literally just living a normal life while also experiencing a theophany via communication with the satellite called VALIS.

Went looking for COVID19 death statistics recently:

18.2 million people worldwide, 1.13 million in the US

We still have no day of remembrance or mourning.
Estimating excess mortality due to the COVID-19 pandemic: a systematic analysis of COVID-19-related mortality, 2020–21
The full impact of the pandemic has been much greater than what is indicated by reported deaths due to COVID-19 alone. Strengthening death registration systems around the world, long understood to be ...

Oh. Did not realize the fun was moving closer to home. Do not want.
NEW: As President Trump increases pressure on Colorado Governor Polis to free Tina Peters, a close ally of Peters is calling for Gov Polis and Attorney General Weiser to be executed.

MAGA podcaster Joe Oltmann called for the execution of several Colorado Democrats by name.

Fighting that thing where I want to crawl into a hole and pull the edges in after myself. Self isolating isn’t good, I know this, and yet.

Ahh, it’s the most wonderful time of the year, when my MIL shames me for having a giant wishlist because I window shop and never buy myself anything in spite of having 20 hobbies.
