It really sucks that one of the most important election interference cases in the U.S. was derailed and now dropped all because Fulton County DA Fani Willis had a romantic relationship with the special prosecutor she chose to lead the case, leading to her being barred from the case.

Would someone please develop an alternative to Facebook for civic orgs already?!
It's really hard to defend government, vital services, or city councils using Facebook as their primary *or only* channel of communication with the people those institutions purport to serve.
It’s really hard to defend industry academic collaborations with meta as earnest, if they’re internally burying evidence of harm.

I am by no means a prominent public intellectual, but my inbox is increasingly filled with messages from people who have been convinced by sycophantic chatbots that they have discovered revolutionary theories that entirely upend our scientific understanding of the universe.
