Looks like my dad picked up Covid over the weekend, so I'm pitching in and doing some of his shopping.

By which I mean I have to go buy 2x4s at Home Depot.

This looks like something I would've watched at Anthrocon in like 2012, and I mean that as high praise.
'Bouchra,' Morocco’s first animated feature, premieres tonight in Toronto. A queer, deeply personal story, it was built by a tiny team across three countries with a blend of Blender hacks, grit, and intentionally blissful ignorance.

Brooke Rollins on farm laborers: "There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce toward automation and 100% American participation, which with 34 million able-bodied on Medicaid we should be able to do fairly quickly."

@wkamaubell.bsky.social sort of nails it here: Living with extreme wealth inequality is like having a tall roommate who puts all your stuff on the top shelf, then expects gratitude when he tosses down your snacks. Oh, and he doesn’t think he should have to pay rent.

This is a map of Los Angeles. The arrow points to a red dot. That red dot (roughly) represents the protest area seen on TV.

To me, the gross mischaracterization of what’s happening in Los Angeles looks like an excuse to deploy the military—to protect government assets like ICE.

Between the fires and these protests, I hope this year teaches everyone that most of the shit talking you hear about California and more specifically, LA, comes from racists and gentrifying transplants. Most people love living here and would do anything to protect it.

Gonna be babysitting my 5 year old niece, so I picked up a cartoon movie for her to watch.

Kids love kitty cats.

If you think throwing any group of people under the bus to get elected is a good idea you are a piece of shit and should vote R like the rest of the morally bankrupt citizens in this country
I am seeing more and more opinions bubbling up about how throwing trans people to the wolves would be a winning strategy for Democrats, and I just want to quickly say: Fuck off with that absolute dog shit.
