The biggest tell is--and always was--their attitudes towards adult trans people at the end of the day. Because say, for the sake of argument, you genuinely had no issue with trans people, but were just concerned about health care procedures and risks for minors. What would you do? (1)

Not for the first time, there is functionally no difference, in the impact on our lives, between an organization that cuts off trans healthcare due to open bigotry and one that does so while hand-wringing about how hard a choice it is. What matters is that trans people still aren't getting care.

I think a lot of trans people go way too easy on organisations that choose to be complicit in our oppression. I believe this is due to internalised transphobia. We often don't think we're important enough for other people to care about our safety, wellbeing, and equitable involvement in society.

genuinely, I think it's a very good thing if you give the transfems in your life a safe space to talk about all the horrifically traumatic things they've gone through and also told them how fucked up some of those things are because we'll often downplay so many things and need to hear it
I am continually amazed at the things transfems have gone through and how much we all endure and still manage to persist. None of us deserve any of it, but we soldier on and sometimes it's nice to swap stories and commiserate about it
