Rewatching The X Files for the first time in a decade. The shoulder pads in Duchovny’s coat are as big as the legroom on the planes. I forgot the lore episodes were so tedious. “We gotta get irrefutable proof of aliens!” An alien could do the halftime show at the superb owl & they’d still refute it.

this is how I react to Google Docs trying to make me use Gemini
I can't get over "it pisses off a great deal of people as it invades regular products like Word or Google Docs like a naked pervert that broke into your house."

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

A few days ago, I stood in the graveyard of an 1100 year old church, getting damper and damper in the drizzling rain.

A woman walked into the graveyard, waved, said hello, and, as we had previously arranged, handed me a paper bag full of human bones.

The life of a churchwarden is a strange one...

One thing I love is that Strega Nona and Baba Yaga roughly translate to the same name but one of them will make you a big meal and the other one will make you the big meal.
Attn: folklorists, somewhat urgently--is there any definitive word on whether or not Baba Yaga uses the same mortar and pestle for flight and in the kitchen?

Ever wonder “what did Tolkien think of the plane?” Or “what if goblins were played by the Beastie Boys?” Well, I’ve got the show for you.
SHELVED BY GENRE awakens far below the Misty Mountains, and with riddles and talking eagles and exploding pine cones, the hosts continue their discussion of THE HOBBIT! Also, we learn so much about what Tolkien thought of airplanes. rangedtouch.com/2026/01/16/t...

I ditched a book when the protagonist jumped into the Thames in central London in the late 1850s and happily drank the water 🤢
What's the fastest y'all ever DNF'd a book? I recently put one down one paragraph into the foreword when the author suggested I go look at their Pinterest moodboard for the book and then go listen to their Spotify soundtrack for it. In the foreword!!
