Rewatching The X Files for the first time in a decade. The shoulder pads in Duchovny’s coat are as big as the legroom on the planes. I forgot the lore episodes were so tedious. “We gotta get irrefutable proof of aliens!” An alien could do the halftime show at the superb owl & they’d still refute it.

One thing I love is that Strega Nona and Baba Yaga roughly translate to the same name but one of them will make you a big meal and the other one will make you the big meal.
Attn: folklorists, somewhat urgently--is there any definitive word on whether or not Baba Yaga uses the same mortar and pestle for flight and in the kitchen?
