The fact that Farage says Reeve should face a sleeze inquiry is proof that irony is not dead.

This is very funny.

Only yesterday Starmer was swatting away hacks at a press conference who believed they had questions to answer over it.

The mainstream media, the Tories, and Farage accused Reeves of doing something wrong, again, and were proved wrong, again.

It’s marvellous.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Get in. Rachel Reeves should demand every witch hunting journalist provide her with an apology, issued on BBC, Channel 4, and ITV News every hour for the next three days. Only fair.

OBR just now admitting they fckd up over the budget and all the shit is their fault.
The chancellor has every right to be pissed off at us and we accept that.

Not exactly those words but it’s what they would have said if they could.

Mason going for the jugular on the BBC News confirms that Robbie Gibb has taken his 'outing' at the Select Committee rather badly. A reminder: a grifting MP absent from his constituency, lying about the UK to the US Senate, deflecting claims of Russian collusion & racism, is the real news story.

Honest Bob Jenrick recommends reversing the cuts in court time imposed by Tory-led governments since 2010 - the system is a mess, he says, lawyers are poorly paid.

And passes over the bigger things lke the probation service his mate Chris Grayling destroyed.

I wonder who did all that.

Not watched the news for years and have been quite surprised by the BBC questioning of Labour ministers that goes along the lines of "You lying piece of shite you should be ashamed of yourself" combined with scanning their social media accounts to catch them out . Is this the norm? Genuinely ?

Honestly the completely weird Budget coverage is mostly a sign of how pretty much any attack can stick when you’re unpopular enough.

Of course Rachel Reeves didn’t brief the full Cabinet on Budget details weeks in advance! No chancellor ever does! It would immediately leak!

I note that Farage has referred Rachel Reeves to the House of Commons Ethics Committee. Presumably he had to look it up in a dictionary first

What we're seeing is exactly what we saw in the late 1940s, the late 1960s and the mid- to late 1970s: a concerted and hysterical campaign to delegitimise a Labour government, and indeed the very idea of Labour governments at all.

The real scandal here is the Chancellor hiked people's taxes during a cost of living crisis instead of fixing our trade with Europe.

That is exactly what the Conservatives did for years after their disastrous Brexit deal. No wonder Kemi Badenoch isn't keen to talk about it.

If you look at the ridiculous case studies they dredged up & the desperate attempts to hang Reeves for ‘lying’ about the rationale behind a policy she *did not introduce*, you might work out why right-wing media is straining *not* to talk about the finer detail of her (unremarkable) budget.

I’m used to reading rubbish on here. But now I’m reading outright lies.

The anger around this budget, Reeves and Starmer is coming out of everyone who can influence a thought. Radio, TV, media.

I’m not going to let it go without a challenge.

I want Labour to succeed.

Remember when the Budget was all about pennies on booze, fags and petrol?

Now Geebeebies, The Fail and BBC Reform are claiming everyone is panicking about paying Mansion Tax on their second home, and whether the rise in the minimum wage means we'll have to sack the under-gardener.
