If it’d gotten a wider release I’d throw Red Rooms in there but 1000% agree on The Zone of Interest, it’s a masterpiece.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on the shooting of Charlie Kirk:

"Political violence, unfortunately, has ramped up in this country ... I think there are people who are fomenting it in this country. I think the president's rhetoric often foments it."

(explaining purchasing power to an American) imagine a hamburger

Enjoy your socialized medicine and functioning public transport Switzerland, I'll be right here enjoying my 1,775 extra hamburgers
On annual pay, Americans get the most burger for their buck. The typical salary there could buy a whopping 13,601 Big Macs per year—1,775 more burgers (or 10m more calories) than Switzerland, the runner-up. But Americans also work more hours than their European peers. On an hourly basis, Denmark leads the McWages index, with 8.5 Big Macs per hour worked compared with 7.7 in Switzerland and 7.6 in America. This ordering stacks up well against more conventional rankings of prosperity, such as our guide to the world’s richest countries, which uses measures of GDP and purchasing-power parity.

Denmark, Switzerland and the US have the highest rate of Big Macs per hour

I saw someone complain that the narrator wasn’t the main boy and like well, that’s kind of the point of the little narrative trick they’re using!
