Yeah, there's gonna be a 2:00AM tantrum on Truth Social about this, for sure. Had to be said, tho'.
Carney's speech is brilliant. Here is a transcript. I suspect we will be feeling some serious pain in Canada shortly from the reaction

Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

Planners should have to design cities from behind a Rawlsian veil of ignorance. That is to say: the planner will have to live in the city they design, but they don't know *where* in the city.

For the 2025-26 Toronto Raptors season, I'm going to attempt drawing a sketch after all 82 games!

Thread below for all the games I've drawn so far! 👇

Fuck Doug Ford and his cronies.
Right at the corner of Parkside and Howard Park.

No one with power was serious about protecting pedestrians here. There were years to fix Parkside Drive before Ford made it nearly impossible.
Pedestrian struck by motorist on Parkside a block from the speed camera that vigilantes kept tearing down that caused ford to remove them from all Ontario. Drive as you wish Ontario. Nobody matters. This is what you voted for.

I recently found an old CD I burned of the first season of "An American in Canada', and now I'm desperate to find season 2 because I can't remember what happened.
I think if Canada wants to have a strong cultural identity we need to go back to doing what we're best at, making the weirdest fucking TV shows you've ever seen

The only bad union is a police union.
This piece makes it sound totally normal that the police gets to decide whether or not to "work with" Mamdani as mayor, and it continues, as nearly all the paper's coverage, to wield normative terms like "moderate" and left" in a prejudicial way. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/16/n...

Well-played, sir.
I’ve heard that 4 in 10 cops are planning to leave the force.

Google “40% of cops” for more info.
"Hundreds of New York City police officers are ready to leave the force in the wake of Zohran Mamdani’s (D.) election victory, with some openly weeping after the cop-hating socialist seized the city’s mayoralty earlier this month"

Every office has an executive tier whose emails are like:

saw on news , , can we replce complianc dept with web 3

and a worker tier whose emails are like:

Dear Jim,
First of all, I *love* this idea! Unfortunately, I spoke with Legal and identified a few issues with this approach. For starters…
Well, it's a little clearer now why billionaires are so invested in technology that produces better written emails.

I think this captures quite well how many Dems are feeling today. The party is going to have to be dragged into this century, and this moment. And it can't just happen during elections.
The fact that many Democratic Senators are profoundly trapped in an unreal matrix of DC-media assumptions is a disaster on an epic scale. But it’s also an opportunity.

You have to wait years to primary most Senators, but you can fight to change those assumptions now.

Let me explain…

Once again. I implore you that if you're still on Twitter, know that even if *you* think it's still a "normal" platform, corporations think it's full of nothing but rubes and reactionary crypto-bros and degenerate gamblers (is there a difference?)

Get off of Twitter. Your brain is being cooked.
