Life is hard, stuff takes time, plans don't work out, the sun is trying to kill you, do not talk shit about younger generations.
Take it easy.

Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

I wrote the post with the entire game in mind, not just its post-game, but I understand how that might not be 100% clear considering how I worded some things. I felt that way throughout the game

I guess by that tack I'd say most of Hades 2 feels like I'm grinding out postgame content for Hades 1

I’m really taken with Judero: the writing, the music, the setting, not so much the combat which is admittedly, and literally, ‘hit and miss’, but everything else is really fantastic! Very warm and inviting a game. #blutoid #judero

New article is live on Stop Caring

This one from @otomeniki.bsky.social, who argues that Final Fantasy Tactics memes engages audiences in a unique form of reader-response theory. Which *is* art criticism, even if it doesn't *look* like art criticism.

Give it a read and a share!

still have not forgiven kamen rider build for giving an actually quite funny wacky t-shirt bit to the wrong character and completely defanging his pathos in the back third of the show by making him a joke

i feel like being really into brandon sanderson books in my 20s caused me immeasurable creative harm by convincing me i needed to follow a specific paradigm of worldbuilding if i wanted to write fantasy and making that my default mode of thinking
anxiety and moral scrupulosity prob don't help either

I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"
