Michigan Consumer Sentiment, that's your entry music!
I think the thing a lot of people are upset by is actually rather difficult to measure with economic data

This is funny. Gov. Greg Abbott delayed in scheduling the #TX18 special—which is taking place under the old lines—and almost certainly did so to keep a Dem seat vacant.

The court cites that still-ongoing special as proof that reverting to the old lines would not be disruptive. Oops!

Our Nov. Strength In Numbers/@verasight.io poll comes out tomorrow at 7am ET. Will have numbers on 2026, Trump (duh), health care and immigration, third party support, D vs R "out of touch" numbers, pol/party ratings & more -- and will live at this link www.gelliottmorris.com/p/new-poll-d...
New poll: Democrats lead the 2026 generic ballot, and their edge widens when voters are reminded Republicans control Congress
Plus: Voters see both parties as out of touch, for different reasons; Trump hits new low on pocketbook issues; Large majorities oppose ending ACA subsidies and SNAP, support taxing high earners

Many voters were potentially persuadable had the Biden administration taken more actions on student debt.

Jones finished only a tenth of a point behind Herring 2017.
With Richmond’s update, we have what should be our final totals in VA

Spanberger +15.36%
Hashmi +11.56%
Jones +6.68%

Statewide turnout is 76.2% of 2024

Spanberger finished at nearly 85% of Harris’ vote total, and she also received more votes than Trump 2020 in VA

Reminder that Ken Starr was canned by Baylor University for covering up multiple sexual assaults when he was the school’s president…
ngl It would be pretty funny if Bill Clinton turned out to be a total boy scout in this and that KEN STARR was the guilty one.

Republicans could decide to wake up and eliminate the filibuster tomorrow and there's nothing Tim Kaine could do to stop them.

It's just insane that so many congressional Dems still think it's their duty to save Republicans from themselves. Even Dems act like the GOP has no agency!
Heaven forbid the Republicans get rid of the filibuster…

The new #UT01 is the first time Salt Lake County has gotten a Congressional district all to itself since the 90s and as such, it's a safely Democratic district.

It backed Harris by 24 points last year, so the main feature next year will be a potentially explosive primary

"Newt Gingrich? The college professor?"
I read this and immediately thought “well that would actually be awesome because then Marty can go back to the 90s where he probably had a really awesome time as a teenager” and then I was like oh wait his PARENTS would have been teenagers in the 90s and then I just sat here for like 45 minutes
