When I was doing my PhD I had to take a *weekend* class on research ethics. I was introduced to the tryptich of FFP: falsification, fabrication, plagiarism. I had to sign a document attesting to my knowledge of this and committing to not do any of it.

"Bobby" just admitted to fabrication.
