Two people on this site talk about the Democrats winning a lot of races lately. TWO. Just today, a whole Senator talking about the "status quo" when Democrats are winning or eroding Trump's support, district by district and city by city. Yet, Dems get trashed on here daily.
Eileen Higgins just became the first Democrat elected mayor of Miami in nearly 30 years.

I did a Games Project article on the night in 1999 when Kent hit for the cycle at Three Rivers Stadium (although it’s really more of an article about Brian Giles):

Just to get this out of the way, if they move to 16 teams, assuming it stays at 5 autobids, USC and Arizona are still furious they’re left out. Go to 20 and Duke is incensed they aren’t in the field as a P4 champ.

There is no size that won’t make some feel they just missed.

Bryan Reynolds and Cole Tucker, too.
Todd Helton is the most notable player whose debut I’ve attended. A few others: Paul Goldschmidt, Butch Huskey, Tommy Gregg, Stan Fansler, Dennis Konuszewski.

Exactly 80 years ago this precise moment (8:40am Hamburg time, Nov. 30, 1945), German submarine commander Heinz-Wilhelm Eck and two of his former subordinates on the U-852 were shot by Allies in Hamburg for killing the survivors of a ship they had sunk. Pete Hagueseth needs to lawyer up immediately.
The Peleus War Crimes Trial
After sinking the Greek steamer Peleus in 1944, the captain ordered his crew to attack the survivors, three sailors survived and faced their attackers in a war crime trial.

UPDATE: I added in the congressional response to the boat-strike section once I saw we had bipartisan, matching statements from both House and Senate Armed Services Committees. www.lawdork.com/p/trump-admi...

Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

oh that's definitely not some guilty conscience behavior
5/ Administration explanation to Congress seems to be a bold-face falsehood: claiming double-tap strike was to clear debris, not to kill survivors.

"That explanation has prompted frustration among some members of Congress who say they believe the Pentagon was deceptive."

By framing what should be a reputation and legacy destroying (and likely criminal investigation in inciting) revelation an obstacle to overcome, it allows people who would like to ignore the whole thing do so, not as part of a grotesque moral failure, but as a part of a grand redemptive triumph.
