I was in my 30s when Bill Gates founded Microsoft--with a million-dollar deposit given to him by his father.

He also stole Windows from Steve Jobs.

So, I guess my answer is "No, I don't think the oligarchy earned their billions."

My strong belief is people dramatically overestimate how much pressure these lawmakers are experiencing to do their jobs.

Getting yelled at a few town halls is just a small part of their day. They have other parts they are largely able to do without disruption still.

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

ICE is now targeting bad guys...

...by presuming their altruism.
This is somewhat more of an old-fashioned ICE ruse. Arguably this is a sign of the agency going back to more standard “targeted enforcement” tactics designed to be not as disruptive as the more recent aggro-style arrests. Watch for more like this to come.
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

hello and welcome to the political genius exam. here is question one. which is a more compelling message:

- the president is sending armies to occupy cities and kidnap and kill people and your town could be next
- a meal at the cheesecake factory that previously cost $100 now costs $104.9
Romance alert: Trump's reckless tariffs have Valentine’s Day costs up across the board:

Roses 🌹16.6%
Chocolates🍫 18.7%
Ribeye 🥩 25.4%
Restaurant meals 🍽️ 4.9%

At a time when we need calm resolve and fact-based reality, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is quickly establishing itself as a genuine threat to the country.

It's chaired by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and sends emails like this knowing they'll cause panic.

AOC is supposed to be somehow radical, but this is EXACTLY what the CIA World Factbook said about it -> extreme income inequality is associated with political instability.
AOC: "Extreme level of wealth inequality leads to social instability and drives authoritarianism, right-wing populism, and really dangerous domestic internal politics. That is a direct outcome of the failure of democracies over decades to deliver."

banning private equity in the industry would be much more impactful and could be achieved a lot more cleanly imo

Michael Greenberger died.

He was a bureaucrat and academic and a source.

He spent much of his life fighting for you, tirelessly warning us what federal policy was doing when no one else was paying attention.

He wasn't famous -- just like most people fighting for us. Thanks, Michael.
