I am up and down on Seanan McGuire's work over the years. Her current Lorwyn story is definitely on the up side. Really good stuff so far, makes me look forward to the Strixhaven book.

You know, back in his first run, I used to argue that Trump wasn't really any more racist than any other wealthy old white guy (which, to be fair, is still pretty racist). But now? It looks like he is way above the curve. Spending that much time stewing in the company he's in will do that, I guess.

I am vaguely annoyed that at least some of the Marvel M:tG set's cards that have been previewed have banger art and cool flavor. I was all primed to hate it. The Thing art is the only one so far that misses the mark by a lot.

There's some weird stuff 11 does that 10 didn't: not automatically reordering a file list upon save/rename (the file now just goes to the bottom until I re-sort), or popping back to the top of the file list upon opening a file instead of staying on the line I was at. Stop making my job harder, pls.

We went and saw the 40th anniversary screening of _Stand By Me_ with the remaining three main characters doing a Q&A last night. What a good time, and a movie that is still one of the best depictions of the way boys interact with one another when left to their own devices.

I just read an article in the NYT about some guy's battle against his HOA, and it's a great example of how you can be right, but still be an asshole. Like, how much of a prick do you have to come across as for me to sympathize with an HOA? 🤣
