I wouldn't have accepted this garbo a decade ago, let alone now.
Han shooting first was a big piece of what made him so cool to us.
And FWIW, I know our eyes and ears have always been unreliable narrators. They deceive us sometimes. But now people are using advanced tech to lie to us on a grand scale, to the point we cannot say "Let's go to the videotape" and have an at least reasonably objective, trustable reality.
I love living in a world where you cannot always trust your own eyes and ears.
The AI industry wants us to believe AI superintelligence is the real threat from generative AI.

But that narrative was crafted to distract from the many ways genAI is being used to tear our societies apart, as we saw this week when a deepfake video rocked the Irish election. It must be reined in.

Fetterman describes Trump trying to steal $230 million from taxpayers as "small ball, and I think we have much bigger problems than worrying about those things."
"I asked Chat GPT"

Oh, well I stopped listening/reading at that very moment. What a crazy, random happenstance!
I could not believe how good "Seth MacFarland and his buddies do ST:TNG cosplay with dick jokes" turned out to be.
Decided to rewatch Lower Decks. I know it's a comedic show, but dang if it's not just really good Trek overall.
Sliwa is a top-tier hater.
Duskmourn got betrayed by the 80s tropes and the Scooby gang stuff in the cards, but the concept itself, of a plane that is a house that is a demon, immeasurably huge on the inside and terror lurks everywhere, feels like a vein to be mined for plenty of great stories.
I do not need my fridge to be smart, I need it to keep my food cold and otherwise be dumb as hell.
Cavatappi >>>> elbows for mac and cheese.
Looks like Delaware passes the test, too.
It's a dereliction of duty that they do not, TBH.
Has anyone ever had this much chutzpah, in all the most negative connotations of the word?
Finally a reason to be proud of N.J.
AP found the wave of legislation on vaccines, fluoride and raw milk has appeared across the US, pushed by people with close ties to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The effort would strip away protections that have been built over a century and are integral to American lives and society.
I think there are two possibilities with this man:

He is easily the most poorly informed Speaker of the House in memory, or
He is a bullshitter who is remarkably comfortable with looking ignorant.

I don't know what else could explain this "I know nothing! I See nothing!" Sergeant Schulz act.
House Speaker Mike Johnson is asked about the threat case targeting House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries

Here's the response ====>
