For the first time in more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have been spotted at the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson rivers in Chiloquin, the government seat of the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon.

Salmon clear last Klamath dams, reaching Williamson and Sprague rivers
Just a year after four dams were removed, a group of fall Chinook have migrated nearly 300 miles into the Upper Klamath Basin.

Taking in refugees isn't just a nice thing we do — we have a legal obligation. The 1951 Refugee Convention came about specifically because countries like the US refused entry to Jews who were trying to escape Germany, because the world didn't ever want that to happen again.

DHS says the ICE officer who shoved the woman in New York yesterday has been relieved of his duties and his conduct unacceptable.

Bit surprised as I’ve seen a lot of not too dissimilar videos of ice actions DHS has stood by.
