I hope that while she still has access to his files, she takes some time to look for private folders. He may be doing things like taking up skirt photos or videos of underage people.

2/2 It’s never been about the ID itself. It’s about keeping the process narrow...confusing...and exhausting so fewer people make it through

1/2 🧵You’re damn sure not wrong about the pattern, Katherine. Every time one barrier gets solved...a new one appears...closing polling places...purging rolls...limiting drop boxes...shortening early voting.

I cannot believe there are still people in my mentions arguing that boycotting an election because the candidates aren’t addressing your issue is a way to get them to pay attention.

Next time someone asks me why I, as an assistant professor with a PhD, would spend my time researching the connections between games culture and larger political culture, I am just going to show them these two images.
I am 100% positive that if every voter had Voter ID, the GOP would find a way to move the goalposts. They don’t care about Voter ID, they care about making it difficult and expensive for people to vote.
I hope she’s already broken up with him. Unless there’s some consensual kink, don’t date someone who calls you a “sl*t” or “wh*re.” Also, waking or keeping someone awake is abusive.

There's island where rich men participated in the industrial s_x abuse children.

These men, whom the authorities had a list of were never prosecuted. Many of the abused children later went missing or ended up dead.

This is North Fox Island. Makes you wonder how many more there are out there.
Not his first time. Also, he’s trying hard to cheat on her, hard enough to lose his job. He may be unemployable, depending on the size of his industry. She can tell him to stay at home and do the work she does (bet he won’t), and she’ll get the full-time job. Then leave him.
Joan Rivers used to make jokes about her husband. Then her husband committed su1cide. Not necessarily connected, but…
It’s wild to think that in six hours, 5,000 miles away, there will be people in Japan skipping work at 9:00 am to watch the Dodgers playing in LA tonight. The smartest thing the Dodgers ever did was to recruit from Japan: great players and an entire country is rooting for our Boys in Blue.

Following three years of significant investments in addiction services, opioid overdoses have declined by 32% in the last year.

We’re saving lives and showing what’s possible when we meet this crisis with compassion and action.
People are being massacred in Sudan. Decades ago, protestors in America were on the streets about Darfur. Now it’s crickets. It’s so painful to see what these people are enduring. And for what? So the UAE can steal their resources.

It's day 28 of the shutdown and this administration has managed to pay our military and ICE agents.

The USDA could fund November SNAP benefits for tens of millions of households, but they won't.

That should say enough about this administration's priorities.

I'm trying to work out which is the bigger scoop:

a) Man buys office furniture; or

b) Man calls someone who isn't a sister of a parent "aunt".

And they wonder why the newspaper industry struggles so badly.

Newsom: The New Testament and Old Testament have one dominant thing in common—Matthew, Isaiah, Luke, Proverbs, go down the list—it’s about food, about serving those who are hungry. It’s not a suggestion; it’s core and essential to what it means to align with God’s will.
I was trying to explain to someone about a young woman I had dinner with, and I said, “Kissing Cousin” because it’s too long to say “My half-sister’s daughter’s half-sister’s daughter.”*If I was Muslim I’m sure the press would jump on me.

*Alternatively, my half-sister’s step-granddaughter.

He was shocked…until I explained it was a term of respect for our elders, not literally referring to our parents siblings.

A 10 year old understood this concept just fine

Anyway, here’s the point I’m trying to make...
