hey kids before you type out that comment having to do with someone's appearance, maybe consider that the woman-shaped thing on the internet has probably heard it eight thousand times before. don't. no, even if it's a potential health issue. no, even if you're a nurse. no, even if you're being nice.

Young Men = "I must have a high status career and earn good money, so that a good woman will want to marry me!"

Young Women = "I must have a high status career and earn good money, so that I will never have to be dependent on a man!"

After a decade of this, thoughts and prayers don't work. They've never worked and will continue to not work. We need action. Reform.

We are the only nation to have the cure to gun violence, but continually put a bunch of anti vaxxers in charge of it.

Today I referred to the protagonist of the Disney film Frozen as “Frozalina or whatever”

My daughter did not find this funny and corrected me sternly.

I have been made to understand that the character’s name is “Princess Anna” and I would like to publicly apologize.

One of funniest things I see is men will push for open marriages thinking they are going to be swimming in it only to whine about how unsuccessful they are while their wives are busy.

But this dude thinks women should be grateful that he does the bare minimum of not cheating.

Any time I comment on shootings in the US, I invariably get told that "you need guns to defend against tyranny".

* looks back over 2025 *

.... does "tyranny" mean something different over there?

I, of course, didn’t expect the afterlife to be this way.

I'm old enough to remember when they started playing commercials before trailers in theaters. People older than me were offended by it, I didn't think it was a big deal, but I should have listened. We should have held the line. I should have listened.

In graduate school, for whole class discussions we had this acronym they kept on the board to help people self regulate. It was WAIT.

Why
Am
I
Talking?

It was a reminder that people should further discussion or simply actively listen until they had something meaningful to contribute.

Tomorrow, Republicans have a chance to vote to prevent 24 million Americans’ premiums from spiking.

If they really care about affordability, this is the single easiest and most important vote to support. Somehow, I doubt they’ll do it.
