Boz Scaggs reached his commercial (& professional) peak w/ his now-classic 1976 LP, Silk Degrees. Recently rediscovered it and it stood the test of time rather well. Top-notch studio musicians (starting w/ the late great Jeff Porcaro). Smooth, soulful, filled w/ humour. Blue-eyed soul at its finest.

Decided to work my way through Traffic’s back catalogue. It’s funny - haven’t listened to older music for a while. If I’d been nineteen in 1967, I’d have loved them - great musicianship/songs - but to me it just sounds really dated now. And I suddenly feel the same about almost all pre-80s music.

It is - by this point - obvious to even casual observers of media that WAY MORE than a couple of MPs or MEPs have been compromised.

Newspaper Editors, Producers, C-Suite executives, Security Services;

Gob-smacked if "russian interference" didnt explain such media disinterest.

Funny Thought for the Day...actually, turns out listening to music can cut your dementia risk by up to 40%. So really, all those years of record collecting weren’t obsessive… they were preventive medicine.

The scary thing is that the model I used in the article gave a figure of 323,000 because I didn’t know about the increased emigration of British nationals.

Adjusted to take that into account, it gives 237,000 which isn’t far off.

I’m still trying to work out how to model the harsher ILR changes.

The relentless forced frivolous & vacuous jollity of the new BBC Radio Scotland schedule… jeez they’ve even dragged the usually excellent Martin Geissler in. Soul drainingly tiresome. I’m seeking a new home on the wireless.

The Book Of Mormon at the Leeds Grand. Haven't laughed so much in ages. Outrageous and so totally wrong it's totally right. In it's own subversive way, as divinely inspired as the ACTUAL BoM.
