major grocery stores, banks, any public/government run buildings will probably be closed

lots of tourist-y or recreational places and restaurants will likely be opened though

you're gonna get an even split of things that will be closed for the day since it's a statutory holiday, and things that'll be open since it's a long weekend and people will want to be out and about doing stuff!
