there has been no meaningful improvement in the devices or their functionality in 10 years in any way that affects what any normal person uses them to do, people only switch when forced updates cause a device which worked fine yesterday to lag so bad you can't type at full speed until you replace it

I'm curious.

Does Donald Trump have any history of lending his name to random businesses in return for a stake in the profits, and then being sued by the customer of those businesses? 🤔
Guys, I'm starting to think trump businesses are a scam. 🫤

The phone was supposed to be released in August.

It wasn't.

In October, they said it would be out in November.

Now they're saying the “beginning of December,” but with no specific date

The Trump Mobile phone is nowhere to be found after months of delay
Trump Mobile has posted conflicting photos of the phone and scrubbed mention of its “Made in the USA” promise.

Major part of my transit wishlist: I'd love to see NYC embrace a regional map of 🚇 and 🚊 services.

NYC is part of a regional economy and community-- it would be a major win if commuters could visualize PATH, HBLR and Newark City subway alongside the NYC subway system.

When you look at this map, it's hard to justify the subway not going into Jersey City, Hoboken etc. Hudson County is closer to midtown than most of NYC, and yet trips there require 1-2 *separate* fares and often riding a commuter bus.

A prerequisite for regional housing plan.

he's going to cave on everything because he has no alternative but to do so, because he was never a real threat, and changing things from within the system is not a real thing. no matter how many times we do this song and dance, it ends the same way.
it's actually guile and 5D chess instead of an accurate depiction of the political compromises he's willing to make, like keeping a bloodthirsty zionist as NYPD commissioner or smearing anti-genocide protestors as "antisemitic"

1. I do not think this is going to go well for them, because it is going to be just as clown shoes as everything they've tried to throw at Comey or James

My current plan to fight LLMs is to make the project prompt so unhinged and bizarre that ChatGPT doesn't know what to do with it. 🤣

Performative cruelty to appeal to voters who won’t vote for you anyway is just another level of moral decrepitude
Labour's anti-asylum policies are already fundamentally inhumane and discriminatory. Applying them retrospectively is pure cruelty though. It serves absolutely no purpose. Meanwhile it will increase the costs and bureaucracy of an already dysfunctional Home Office.

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

one thing thats crazy about the current era in the states is that it is clear across most domains that science got processed by a lot of people as "traumatic encounter with the real" and now they are just making decisions based on that trauma.

Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?
