It’s wild to me that ICE is committing crimes and there’s just no mechanism available to address this right now
Not including Border Patrol, ICE has arrested nearly 75,000 people with no criminal records.

This data is compiled by ICE internally and was obtained by
UC Berkeley’s Deportation Data Project via a lawsuit.

ICE is currently holding 65,000 migrants in detention centers around the country.
ICE has arrested nearly 75,000 people with no criminal records, data shows
The figures do not include arrests made by Border Patrol, which has launched aggressive immigration operations in several cities in recent months.

Don't let anyone—not even the US Secretary of State—tell you that the European Commission's €120 million enforcement against Elon Musk’s X under the Digital Service Act is about censorship, writes Daphne Keller. It’s just the EU enforcing some normal, boring requirements of its law, she says.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

In the past decade, the U.S. National Institutes of Health awarded top scientists $9 billion in competitive grants each year, to find cures for diseases and improve public health. Starting in January, the Trump administration will stall that funding.

NPR and PBS are the two most recognizable recipients of money from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. But the recent Republican-backed cuts to public media will hit outlets in poorer and more rural areas of the country the hardest.
What Happens to Public Media Now?
Republican-backed funding cuts go way beyond NPR and PBS. Radio and TV stations from Alaska to the Allegheny Mountains may never be the same.

But this one is particularly brazen. #gas
