This site's only redeeming quality is that it's not the Nazi one.

Otherwise... its userbase is truly awful.

i think people have mostly, finally gotten over the fear that trump's going to deploy DHS troops out to every city in america, what people need to internalize next is that they will not have the money to sustain even their *current* operations within a year and a half

anyway, wake me up when bezos decides he’s okay with footing the true cost of road and airway infrastructure AMZ is absolutely critically dependent on
amazon threatens this every year and every year they come to the conclusion that actually attempting this would cost them significantly more than what they currently pay, this is *always* an attempt to renegotiate their costs, but the post has not *always* been owned by AMZ’s largest shareholder
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

I tell you what, not carrying cash at all has made it much easier to deal with the red kettle cartel

I know it’s probably not going to happen like this but it would be great if Michael Jordan just completely destroyed NASCAR

Like, not just as a professional entity, but the entire industry and idea of auto racing in this country.

Or at least diminish it to the level off say, greyhound racing.

i am going to be equally honest, the USPS accounts for less than a single percentage point of federal spending despite being one of the most complex and sophisticated logistical agencies in the world, this is a crank hobby horse

USPS subsidizes a *lot* of shipping in the united states and characterizing it in terms of profit and loss is fundamentally a bad faith exercise given how many of it’s benefits are truly universal in a way that not all federal agencies are

I'm still thinking about this exchange. As is often the case, we see Nuzzi acting out the most extreme version of a phenomenon that is actually pretty common in elite media: people taking umbrage at the idea that they're supposed to exercise moral judgment, and can be blamed for not doing so.
@timmiller.bsky.social: "He's being nominated to HHS Secretary…You had information that you could have shared…and you didn't share anything about him. Why? Did you still love him?"

Olivia Nuzzi: "I don't know how to responsibly handle this on camera." lnk.thebulwark.com/4ozkaz8?utm_...

Got home tonight and found signs that a cougar had grabbed our puppy right off the front deck sometime in the hour before I got home.

That’s twice in 3 months I’ve come home to find either a dead dog or signs that a dog was taken.

As you can imagine I’m pretty upset about this.

The USG has a new explanation on why they (now admittedly) intentionally killed 2 shipwrecked men. It does not pass the laws-of-war smell test

Worse for Hegseth, NYT: "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved contingency plans for what to do if an initial strike left survivors."
