I make a sincere effort to never intentionally misgender someone, but we all make mistakes and if you notice me inadvertently misgendering anyone I would appreciate a little grace and the opportunity to correct myself
Got home tonight and found signs that a cougar had grabbed our puppy right off the front deck sometime in the hour before I got home.

That’s twice in 3 months I’ve come home to find either a dead dog or signs that a dog was taken.

As you can imagine I’m pretty upset about this.

this is like the third different story that’s been published on this in the last few hours and none of these stories are consistent with one another
The USG has a new explanation on why they (now admittedly) intentionally killed 2 shipwrecked men. It does not pass the laws-of-war smell test

Worse for Hegseth, NYT: "Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved contingency plans for what to do if an initial strike left survivors."

Guess he wants to go to jail in a couple years; we can tack on 1001 and conspiracy to defraud to the murder charge
A top admiral is expected to tell lawmakers tomorrow that he and his legal adviser concluded that the two survivors of a boat strike in September were attempting to continue their drug run, making them and the damaged vessel legitimate targets for another attack.

Personally I think it shows the deep tolerance of Scotland that it allows so many kids to keep speaking a foreign language like English. Forcing them all to learn Gaelic, Scots or Norn seems a bit much to me.

I think some democrats should probably say forthrightly that though Hegseth among others deserves impeachment and removal, the process is broken because the republican majority has forsaken their duties to the country, and pursuing it would risk misinforming the country that acquittal = innocence.
Mark Warner, the top Dem on the Senate Intelligence Committee, says he reviewed the DOD IG's Signalgate report and Pete Hegseth either needs to be fired or resign.

Will Cain is a whole bitch who got wrecked in sports and had to go shake ass for racists for money
Fox News' Will Cain: "I’m sure there are very honorable law-abiding upstanding citizens and contributors from the Somali community here in the United States, BUT..."

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

I’ve seen some suggestions thwt we can’t get rid of Jeffries because the CBC wouldn’t stand for it and I just want to know if anyone has brought this up with the CBC?

Surely they don’t actually want such a feckless nothing as a leader?

Late take:

Tests should be open-book, take-home, and you get a week to do them. For everybody.

Time limits are more about scheduling the test-taking spaces than demonstrating knowledge of the material. Remove that incentive and watch people succee.

Puppy loves these little meat sticks we break up and give to her sometimes

She’ll also lick peanut butter off my finger, and she likes those little pretzels filled with PB

but try putting some PB and meat sticks in a hollowed out ball and she’s got no clue what to make of it
